Peanut Butter Popsicle Bites

One of my favorite things to do with my dogs is to share treats with them. Giving my dogs a simple treat brings me so much joy. They become so excited. They dance around in circles. Their tails go crazy. When you have three dogs, treats rapidly vanish! I realized a while ago I spend a lot of money on dog treats. I realized making homemade treats could save lots of money. Here is one fantastic treat.

🐶 This recipe is from my sister Lili. She has done different experiments with different ingredients and came up with this. All three of our pups love it! They are a treat you could give to your puppy when they get in their crate, mix with their food, or on a hot day. They melt in your hands quickly so be ready to get messy! (Lili and I are trying to find a way to coat them so they don’t melt so fast)

🐾 First, gather your ingredients together:

🐾 Next, measure out your coconut oil and pour/scrape it into the glass bowl. Melt it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

Coconut oil is great for your dog’s skin. You can apply it externally or feed it to him with his food or in a treat.

🐾 Stir the coconut oil until it is pretty smooth and doesn’t have any clumps. Then add the peanut butter. Stir them together. After you’ve blended them a little, heat the mixture in the microwave for ten more seconds to melt any remaining clumps of coconut oil. Stir again until smooth.

🐾 Once it is well blended, you are ready to pour your mixture into the tray. Use your spatula to help you manage how fast it flows. This step gets messy quickly!

Peanut butter is a tasty treat for dogs. Most dogs go crazy about it! It is said to increase the shine of their fur.

Gallop our older dog, who’s eleven years old, sometimes will loose her appetite. If I put some peanut butter with her food, the smell arouses her appetite and she gobbles it up!

🐾 When all the mixture is in the ice tray place it in the freezer for half an hour to an hour.

🐾 Once the treats are solid, pop them out of the ice tray. They are ready to be used! Store them in a mason jar in the freezer to maintain their shape.

🐶 If your dogs are big peanut butter fans, I think they will love this recipe. The best thing about it is that there are only two ingredients! Both of them are great for your dog’s health and they are easy to find online or in a grocery store. Hope you all enjoy it!
